The Moshi Monsters Magazine (often referred to as simply the 'Moshi Mag') was the official Moshi Monsters themed magazine, published by Egmont Publishing and originally by Skyjack Publishing, in partnership with Mind Candy. By February 2012, the magazine had became the best selling children's title in the UK. The magazine ran for 66 issues from 17th February 2011 to 4th May 2016.

Update: There was new code you can use to get the Frozen Forget-Me-Not. The code you need is: CHILLYLEONOTE: THISSEEMS TO HAVEEXPIRED

Leo appeared at around the same time as Shelly, Hiphop and Oompah and triggered lots of discussion and speculation about how to get him. Was Leo going to be the next moshling to get by completing the final Super-Moshi mission of season two?

As usual, there were lots of flower combinations put forward all of which appear to have been false. We wasted far too much time testing the various combinations that ultimately failed to attract anything!

The mystery has been solved today with the delivery of the latest Moshi Monsters magazine (issue 24).

It includes a unique one-time use code that you can use to get Leo.

From the magazine: LEOCODE – Be one of the first to add Leo to your zoo. Enter the code from your redeem card, then check the seed bag in your garden for your seeds! Plan your seeds with any two other types of seed.”

Entering the code give you seeds for a Frozen Forget-Me-Not.

Moshi Monsters Magazine Issue 64 2017

The wording in the magazine (be one of the first) suggest that there might be an alternative way to get Leo that’ll be announced later although we don’t have any confirmation of that.

Unfortunately, it’s not longer possible to buy Issue 24 of the Moshi Monsters magazine as it’s now showing as sold out on the back-issue pages of the Moshi Magazine website.

Successful transition from web to print proves appetite for trans-media brands

The new Moshi Monsters Magazine has proved a monster hit pulling in sales of over 80,000 for issue # 1 alone – dwarfing that of competitor titles. The launch issue, which was released on February 17th 2011, sold out leading to an increased print run for subsequent issues.

Moshi Monsters Magazine

The success of the magazine reflects the huge popularity of www.moshimonsters.com, which now has almost 40 million registered users worldwide and includes one-in-two UK kids (aged 6-12). Moshi Monsters is a web-based children’s entertainment brand, which allows kids to adopt and care for a virtual pet monster, engage in a safe online community and complete fun missions and educational puzzles.

The print magazine is the latest in a line of physical Moshi products to hit shelves in the UK and marks the increasing appetite for children’s entertainment brands that work across multiple platforms. Other products include toys, books, trading cards, membership cards, posters and calendars with many more in development.

“We’re thrilled by the mag’s success to date”, said Michael Acton Smith, CEO and creator of Moshi Monsters. “We’re still awaiting official figures, but it looks likely to be the largest selling monthly kids magazine in the UK”.

Each monthly issue of Moshi Monsters Magazine contains 52-pages of entertaining content, including comic strips, competitions, free gifts, puzzles, top secret Moshi hints and tips, character fact files, user-generated content and unique codes that unlock exciting content within the online world.

Created and published by SkyJack Publishing, Moshi Monsters Magazine is currently on sale across all major high street retailers (RRP £2.99). Issue # 3 hits shelves today.
